Christian Nationalists' decrees copy 1920s KKK rhetoric and ideas

The Christian Nationalists are claiming to be patriots of faith and that it is their job to honor God and defend the U.S. Constitution. https://twitter.com/TizzyEnt/status/1550177226745937922 post compares their decree with that of Hitler. I would suggest to also consider in the 1920s when the KKK claimed the right as white Protestant citizens to perpetuate their religious ideals by using the constitution as patriotic leverage. Both religious groups then and now are cloaking their oppressive hatred as patriotism.  At its core, Christian Nationalism "threatens the principle of the separation of church and state and undermines the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. It also leads to discrimination, and at times violence, against religious minorities and the nonreligious. Christian nationalism is also a contributing ideology in the religious right’s misuse of religious liberty as a rationale for circumventing laws and regulations aimed at protecting a pluralistic democracy, such as nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQI+ people, women, and religious minorities." https://www.americanprogress.org/article/christian-nationalism-is-single-biggest-threat-to-americas-religious-freedom/  They are foundationally like the 1920s KKK without the hoods.
